Indigenous Languages

Maintained by the Prince Albert Grand Council, this website includes written and audio content on topics such as greetings, questions, everyday conversations, days of the week, months and numbers.

This website was created to house materials from the Kaska language courses jointly sponsored by UBC’s First Nations Endangered Languages Program and the Kaska First Nations. Kaska is a Northern Dene (Athabaskan) language and closely related to neighboring Dene languages such as Talhtan, Sekani, Beaver, Slavey, Southern Tutchone and Northern Tutchone.
