About the MacEwan Book of the Year

Each year, a book of contemporary Canadian fiction is chosen from nominations from the MacEwan community as the MacEwan Book of the Year. The MacEwan Book Committee bases its selection on the book’s appeal and its potential to generate interest and discussion within the MacEwan community - among students, faculty and staff. The author of the book is invited to MacEwan to discuss the book with students and faculty through readings, workshops, symposia or other activities. A student writing contest based on the chosen book is sponsored by the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

You are invited to visit the MacEwan Book Wall of Fame, located in the John L. Haar Library.

Please visit the MacEwan Book of the Year website for additional information.
