Writing and Learning Services

About Us

Writing and Learning Services is a department dedicated to helping MacEwan University students develop their academic writing and learning skills. We have a Writing Centre where students can meet with a peer writing tutor or a professional writing specialist to discuss their writing while they are in the drafting process, and we have numerous online guides and tutorials to help students expand their understanding of writing and learning processes and techniques.

We also work with faculty! Our professional team is able to deliver in-class instruction or create supplementary learning materials to help students develop the skills needed to complete key writing assignments.

For Fall 2020 and during the Covid-19 pandemic, all of our services are available online. Students can submit a paper online to receive written feedback from a tutor, or they can schedule an online, video-chat appointment with one of our tutors or writing specialists. Visit our Writing Help page for more information.
