Writing at the university level can be a struggle! Maybe you've been out of school for a while and don't know if you're on the right track, or maybe you've been assigned a type of essay you're not all that familiar with and aren't sure if you're doing it right. Or, maybe you just want some feedback to figure out how you can make improvements to your paper.
Wherever you're at in the process or what your level of experience is, Writing and Learning Services is here to help!
Our peer writing tutors are available to provide you with written feedback on your writing. You submit your paper online, and within 1-3 business days, one of our tutors will send you your feedback. Tutors are able to provide you with feedback on things like academic integrity and citation, overall structure and flow, and whether your arguments seem to support your thesis. They can also comment on grammar and punctuation and refer you to various resources to help you further develop your writing skills.
Tutors are typically able to comment on 2-3 areas of improvement in any given session, but students can resubmit their work up to two times for more feedback after making revisions.
*NOTE: To access our submission form, you must be logged into your @mymacewan.ca account in Google! For information about how to switch accounts, click here.
If you need to talk through a particular writing challenge, like how to get started on a paper, you can schedule a 20-minute online meeting with one of our tutors. A link to the session will be sent to you via email.
